Time to finalise negotiations? 28 July Post EBA Team

D.Barker talks to us like he's a representative from the workers,"It is clear from staff feedback that people do not want to see more debate" he writes. Does he forget the Union has 30 000 workers paying its salery.

Also "we do not propose to go over the detailed issues." and nor should he!
What were we thinking, he's Post's Chief negotiator.

Seriously though, can you believe the contempt in which they treat us, I'll bet Post EBA Team get a tidy sum for not going over detailed issues.

I think Post employees deserve a Post Negotiating Team that IS dedicated to going over detailed issues and working to nut all this out, so we (the workers) can get our increases sooner.

And now they want to rush it through before a near record profit is anounced in September.

Oh yeah and workers will get thier $400 bonus ($220 after tax) around about 22 March 2006
SUBJECT TO achieving service performance of at least 94% in each state from Date of Certification and maintaining it until 31st December 2005.

The payment of this bonus will be subject to specific eligibility criteria.

"We have gone as far as we can go in relation to the union agenda. It is now time for the union to decide whether it is prepared to enter into an agreement on such terms."

Sounds like Post has called an end to negotiations to me.
