Post is always saying that its people are its biggest asset and openly portray itself as an organisation that values the work performed by its various staff.
Post has many different fund raising and community based events on its yearly calendar, and these events are supported very strongly by Post employees.
The thing is these very same employees are among the people who felt the need to take industrial action.
Most of us did not want to take industrial action but felt the need to, as we saw negotiations break down between Post and Cepu.
The conflicting information that was given to us made it very hard to decide what action if any was necessary.
It caused a lot of internal torment, I have been told by several people.
My point is this, we all expect this sort of contradictory information from politicians but we don’t expect and should not have this level of uncertainty and confusion within the workplace.
This is nothing new to Aust Post it happens all the time, but has been highlighted by recent EBA6 negotiation tactics.
These tactics have led to a fair amount of anxiety and stress within the workforce and is totally unnecessary and not in line with the message Post regularly puts out in its bulletins.
How do you feel?
